THE FOOD WAS SO DELICIOUS! IT WAS GENUINELY AUTHENTIC AND AMAZING. DEFINITION OF SOUL FOOD ?????--Jeala Mary Youssefi
This place will ignite a part of your palate that Northeast OH scarcely entertains. It is truly a challenge to find an authentic tasting restaurant with reasonable prices and generous portions like that of Pots & Pans, especially in NEO.
Go to this restaurant if you love flavorful, aromatic food that is not shy about having some heat (there are plenty of mild options available, too). Go to this restaurant if you have ever enjoyed Thai, Indian, (real) Mexican, Korean bbq food for a unique flavor profile that tastes like it was made with love and experience.
The owner I met is as vibrant as the food she makes. I seriously cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. Do yourself a favor and try this gem.
For heat, try the jerk pork. The jerk chicken is excellent, too, but I prefer the fattiness and bonelessness of the pork - they can also modify how much "jerk" they put on the dish if you're bashful about the heat or want more of it like I do. For mild but flavorful, do the curries. I've only been here twice and it's already one of my top 3 favorite places in the Cleveland/Akron/Canton area. The rice and beans, the stewed veggies, all go well with the dishes. I can't wait to try the rest of the menu!
My wife is an excellent cook and gets mad about spending hard-earned money on restaurant food she can make better at home. This restaurant is one of the few in the area that even she would be happy to go to.--K G.
The first time I ate there, my friend and I hardly spoke to each other because we were too busy wow-ing over the food. I've been three times since, each time with another set of friends because I think everyone should eat here. The folks are friendly and the food is fantastic. The brown stew pork is my favorite, especially with the weather turning cold. But the fried chicken and curry chicken are great, too. The portions are take-some-home size so if you eat the whole thing, you might need a nap afterwards.--Chris Horne
